2009 Wrap: Hope Springs
2009 was a fantastic year for Bargeheights! Thanks to a number of humbling opportunities, Bargeheights was able to come alongside several churches and make a measurable impact in the ministry capabilities. Hope Springs Community Church is one of those amazing opportunities. Although there are a number of posts about Hope Springs scattered throughout the blog, as I reflect on 2009, I though I might recap the project for your reading enjoyment.
A conversation over coffee about some recommendations on new speakers and a new light or two eventually led to an opportunity to partner with Hope Springs’ volunteer-centric vision to accomplish the unthinkable–build a church using volunteers. The pictures below are the original Hope Springs worship space, the church’s first facility after meeting (church-in-a-box style) in a local high school theater for several years. Over time, the current campus’ proximity to downtown has helped shape the church’s DNA, center around recovery and loving those “on the fringe”.

A simple 50′ x 150′ warehouse…soon to be modern worship space.
SCOPE: Collaboration on Interiors, Lobby/Kitchen/Bath Lighting Design, Lighting Design, Design and Install of Audio, Video and Lighting systems with integration of existing gear.
The “barge” a portable FOH (Front of House) to contain all production gear.
Hope Springs’ own Ben Stephens welding the barge.
